David C. Lee, M.D. is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the care of the foot and ankle. He strives to help his patients better understand their foot and ankle conditions and all of their treatment options to work together toward excellent outcomes. With so many moving parts, the foot and ankle are complex, and finding the least invasive solutions to the variety of challenges in keeping it moving is what continues to motivate Dr. Lee.
He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship program in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Lee is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Following the completion of his training, Dr. Lee also returned to work part-time at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Teaching residents and medical students from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA as a Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor has been an essential part of his career, helping him stay at the forefront of evolving techniques and science in the field.
He is also involved in the Harbor-UCLA Foot and Ankle Fellowship training program. Dr. Lee is a current member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
In his free time, Dr. Lee enjoys spending time with his family and outdoors, whether it be in the water, in the mountains, or exploring new destinations.
